Cultivate Your Plate: Mushroom School

with Aaron Johnson of Joygrow Mushrooms

Register here. $10 per person.

From dietary health benefits, homeopathic uses, or replacing the rising cost of meat, mushrooms are now one of the most popular produce items on the market. Join us in learning how to properly prepare mushrooms and why they are the new food trend. Farmer Aaron Johnson of Joygrow will demonstrate his favorite method of cooking and share all his mushroom knowledge. Snacks and refreshments provided! Mushrooms available for purchase!

100% of your class fee directly supports local farmers! Our fees go towards purchasing local food for our classes and paying our educators for their time. We also use a percentage of any donations beyond our class fees to buy food from local farms and donate it to food access points around Des Moines. Register & Donate here!
