Born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, I am a Midwest girl. However, I love to travel any chance I get. I love embracing new cultures and gaining a new perspective on life. While I appreciate visiting new cities, the time spent out in nature on trips is what I genuinely enjoy.

During the pandemic I found myself thoroughly engrossed in a BBC show, “This Farming Life.” The show sparked my interest in regenerative agriculture and became a driving force behind joining the Iowa Food Co-Op. It also made me look for ways to learn more about sustainable agriculture, food justice, and local farmers.

I connected with CULTIVATE (which was the Iowa Food Foundation at the time) when I attended their book talk for “Bet the Farm,” and offered to help the organization with rebranding.

After months of collaborating on the new branding and name, I wanted to be more involved with the organization and joined the board.

I currently work at BH as a Senior Marketing Design Strategist. I spend my free time volunteering on a fiber flock farm, attending craft fairs and vintage markets, and lending my skills in graphic design to local organizations and friends. I also have my own photography business, Cat Prints (my initials spell C.A.T.) where I mostly focus on portraits but also love photographing animals.

I am excited to be a part of the board for CULTIVATE and be a part of an organization whose mission I am passionate about.
